In the world of hunting, there are several factors that hunters take into consideration when choosing a hunting knife. While each individual hunter places a different importance on each factor, they do nonetheless take all these factors into consideration before purchasing a knife. The decision to purchase a hunting knife is based on such things as the quality of the knife, the price, the features available on the knife, the size of the knife, and the brand.

The Elk Ridge 12 3/8” hunting knife is a great choice for hunters because it has several of the qualities that hunters want. It is a good quality knife that is priced very well within the budget of any hunter without being a cheap knife with limited use or lifespan.

The first feature that most hunters would notice about this knife is its blade. The blade is 7 ¼” long which means it is the perfect length to be usable in just about any situation without being too short to get the job finished, yet is also not too long that it cannot be carried comfortably in the furnished nylon sheath. The clip point blade is made of 440 stainless steel which means it is a harder blade and will keep an edge longer than a standard stainless steel blade. It does require some special care against corrosion as it will rust due to the elements and the peculiarities of hunting (i.e. blood) if not properly maintained.

The Elk Ridge hunting knife has a laminated wood handle that has finger grooves that make it exceptionally easy to use. The guard and pommel are made of stainless steel which makes them less susceptible to corrosion. This is definitely a hunting knife that would be a valuable asset in any hunter’s gear.
