I recently found a rusty, though mostly intact, blade. It is 10 inches long and 3/8 inches thick. It tapers symmetrically to a point from near the base, where it is 1 and 3/16 inches wide. It has a raised ridge running the length of the center-line of the blade, both sides. Finally, there is a metal prong, about 3/16 inch dia., running 3 and 1/4 inches from the base of the blade (where a hilt or handle may have attached?) in the opposite direction from the blade. This may also be important: I found the blade in a rural location in southern Colorado. Any ideas??
